On November 29, 2023, a workshop was held on the topic "Audit Firms in the Digital Age: Uncovering the Secrets of Digital Assets from the Perspective of the Law on Digital Property." The workshop was organized by the Securities Commission in collaboration with the OSCE Mission to Serbia, with the aim of familiarizing and training auditing firms with current trends and challenges brought by the Law on Digital Property.
Over 90 participants from leading auditing firms in Serbia attended the workshop, which was organized as part of a continuous process of enhancing the knowledge and skills of auditing firms. During the workshop, lectures were delivered by representatives of the Commission, the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade, service providers related to digital assets, as well as experts from practice, focusing on the application and examination of digital assets in the audit process, analysis of large amounts of data, and their treatment.
It was concluded that continuous education and knowledge exchange contribute to strengthening the capacities of auditing firms to provide quality services in the contemporary business environment.
