Chairman of the Commission participated in the 33rd Kopaonik Business Forum

The Chairman of the Securities Commission, Marko Janković, participated in the 33rd Kopaonik Business Forum. On the first day of the Forum, the Chairman took part as a panelist in the panel titled “Institutional and Structural Barriers to the Development of the Financial Market”, together with Ognjen Popović, Assistant Minister of Finance, Dejan Janjatović, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of NLB Komercijalna banka AD Beograd, Nenad Grujić, Head of the Legal Sector at Generali Osiguranje Srbija, and Zoran Popović, financial consultant. The panel was moderated by Nataša Petrović Tomić, PhD, Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade.

During the panel, participants discussed current activities aimed at achieving full harmonization of the national regulatory framework with the acquis of the European Union, including the alignment of all laws governing the capital market in the Republic of Serbia. Special attention was given to the further development of a stable and strong financial system, growth prospects of the financial market, as well as modern instruments and trends, including digital assets, tokenization, corporate bonds, and investment funds.
